You’ve been carrying more than you realize.

Maybe the past still lives in your body. Maybe old memories show up at the worst times. Or maybe you're just tired of feeling overwhelmed, on edge, or disconnected from yourself and the people you care about.

Trauma can make everyday life feel heavier your relationships, your sleep, your confidence, your ability to feel safe in your own skin. These experiences don’t just stay in your mind; they settle into your nervous system, shaping how you think, react, and move through the world.

You’ve done your best to cope, but you’re ready for something different. You’re ready to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, release what’s been holding you back, and finally feel like yourself again.

You’re tired of feeling caught in this cycle:

• Feeling overwhelmed by emotions that seem to come out of nowhere
• Being easily triggered by memories, places, or situations
• Carrying tension, anxiety, or fear in your body
• Struggling to trust, connect, or feel present
• Replaying the past even when you want to move forward

How I Can Help

Trauma therapy and EMDR can help you understand why you feel the way you do and begin releasing the pain your body has been holding onto. Whether your trauma comes from childhood, relationships, migration, loss, or experiences you’ve never spoken out loud, our work together creates space for healing at a pace that feels safe.

In our sessions, we explore the patterns, memories, and emotional reactions that keep showing up in your life. Instead of trying to push them down or “just move on,” we approach them gently and intentionally so your mind and body can begin to process what happened. EMDR supports this process by helping your brain re-organize painful experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming or controlling.

Over time, therapy can help you reconnect with your sense of safety, understand your triggers, and respond to your emotions with more clarity and ease. Healing is not about forgetting the past it’s about loosening its grip so you can finally feel more present, grounded, and in control of your life.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. I’m here to support you in building a more peaceful, steady, and empowered version of yourself.

FAQs about EMDR & Trauma Therapy

  • EMDR may be a good fit if you’re struggling with memories, experiences, or feelings that continue to affect you even though the event is over. If you get easily triggered, feel stuck in certain patterns, struggle to calm your body, or find yourself reacting more strongly than you want to, EMDR can help your brain process what happened so it no longer holds the same emotional weight. Together, we’ll decide if EMDR feels supportive and safe for you.

  • EMDR is effective for a wide range of experiences: childhood trauma, relationship wounds, abuse, loss, immigration stress, intergenerational trauma, medical trauma, accidents, violence, and any event that felt overwhelming or too much to handle at the time. You don’t need a “big” trauma for EMDR to help many people come in for patterns, fears, and emotional reactions they can’t explain.

  • We move slowly and intentionally. Before we begin any processing, we spend time building safety, grounding skills, and emotional regulation tools so you feel supported. When you’re ready, we use bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or sounds) to help your brain reprocess the experience. You stay in control the entire time, and you do not have to share every detail of what happened unless you want to.

  • Everyone’s journey is different. Some people feel relief after a few sessions, while others need more time depending on the complexity of their trauma, their nervous system, and their support system. EMDR isn’t about rushing it’s about healing at a pace that keeps you grounded and safe. We check in regularly and adjust the process as needed.

  • Yes. Many clients start EMDR without ever having told their story out loud. You don’t have to go into detail for EMDR to work effectively. We’ll focus on building trust, safety, and coping tools first, and only move into processing when your body and mind feel ready. Your comfort always guides the pace.

  • You can reach out for a consultation by email or phone, and we’ll talk briefly about what you’re experiencing and whether EMDR feels like the right approach for you. There’s no pressure to commit. It’s simply a chance to connect, ask questions, and make sure you feel supported before moving forward.
